Weekday schedule of a UK office worker

Time (local time) Activities
6:30-7:30 After waking up, check the BBC news while having a light breakfast of tea and toast.
7:30-8:30 Commute to work by tube or bus. Major stations in London are crowded at this time.
9:00-12:30 Morning tasks. Start with emails and morning briefing, then important meetings.
12:30-13:30 Lunchtime. Have a light meal with colleagues in the pub or settle for a sandwich.
13:30-17:00 Afternoon tasks. Time to focus on customer service and project work.
17:00-18:00 Leave work on time. There is little overtime, and sometimes go to the pub for drinks with colleagues.
18:00-19:30 Prepare dinner after returning home. Mostly traditional dishes such as fish and chips and shepherd's pie.
19:30-22:00 Time to relax by watching TV or reading.
22:00-23:00 Get ready for bed and rest. People generally go to bed relatively early in preparation for the next morning.
