May is the most ideal time to visit Tokelau. A month has passed since the dry season began, and the weather is completely stable, so there is almost no interruption to tourism due to rain. The temperature is around 28-30°C and the humidity is relatively low, making it a very comfortable environment for a tropical region. The sea conditions are excellent, with visibility reaching over 40 meters, allowing you to fully enjoy one of the world's best coral reefs. Marine life is particularly active during this time, and you will have the perfect opportunity to swim with colorful tropical fish and sea turtles. There are fewer tourists than in June-August, so you can enjoy the beach at your leisure without the crowds. Prices for accommodation and local tours are often in the pre-season price range, making it excellent value for money. There are also many cultural events, and you will have the opportunity to participate in traditional Polynesian dances and local festivals. May is also a great month for activities such as kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, as the trade winds are not yet strong.
