Weekday schedule of an office worker in Sri Lanka

5:30-6:30 After waking up, get dressed lightly and have tea and a light breakfast. Many people also perform religious prayers.
6:30-8:00 Commuting time. Travel to work by bus or tuk-tuk, and may get caught in traffic jams.

12:00-13:00 Lunch break. Eat Sri Lankan food such as curry, and chat with coworkers.
13:00-17:00 Afternoon work. They become busy responding to visitors, answering phone calls, preparing documents, etc.
17:00-18:00 Leave work. Many people go to the market to buy food for their families.
18:30-20:00 Dinner. This is an important time to gather at the dinner table with the family and talk about the events of the day.
20:00-22:00 Relax by watching TV or chatting with neighbors. On hot days, they may spend time outdoors.
22:00-23:00 Take a bath and get ready for bed. Many people fall asleep around 23:00.
