Weekday schedule of a Korean office worker

Time (local time) Activities
6:30-7:30 After waking up, wash face, have a light breakfast (kimchi or soup, etc.), and get ready.
7:30-8:30 Commute by subway or bus. Seoul's morning rush hour is one of the most crowded in the world.
9:00-12:00 Morning work. After morning meeting, focus on checking emails, meetings, writing reports, etc.
12:00-13:30 Lunch break. Eat bibimbap or soup at the company cafeteria or a nearby restaurant.
13:30-18:00 Afternoon work. Visit customers and work on projects, and write daily reports in the evening.
18:00-19:00 Regular time to leave work, but often overtime. Sometimes has a light dinner at work.
19:00-20:30 Going home. Often goes out drinking with colleagues, so it is an important place for communication in Korea.
20:30-22:00 Eat dinner at home and check the news and social media on TV or smartphone.
22:00-24:00 Take a bath and prepare for bed. In Korea, there is a culture of working until late at night, so people tend to go to bed late.

19:30-21:00 Have dinner at home and spend a short time with your family. Students preparing for exams return to studying immediately.
21:00-24:00 Do homework or review at home or in the library. High school students in particular tend to study until late at night.
