Weekday schedule of a Singaporean office worker

6:30-7:30 After waking up, check the news while having a light breakfast. Many people take a shower and get ready.
7:30-8:30 Commute by MRT or bus. The CBD area is the busiest during this time, but it is not as crowded as a packed train in Japan.
9:00-12:30 Morning work hours. Email correspondence and meetings are concentrated, and people work efficiently in an air-conditioned office.
12:30-14:00 Lunch break. Many people enjoy international cuisine at hawker centers and food courts.
14:00-18:00 Afternoon work. Meetings with clients and project work. The regular working hours are 18:00, but there is a lot of overtime work.
18:00-19:30 Time to go home. Some people go to the gym or have dinner with friends.
19:30-21:00 Dinner at home. Since eating out is popular, families sometimes go to hawker centers.
21:00-23:00 Time to relax. Watch TV, check social media, and do online shopping.
23:00-24:00 Getting ready for bed. Since Singapore tends to be a nocturnal society, many people go to bed after midnight.

13:30-14:30 Lunch break. Eat in the school cafeteria and spend time with friends.
14:30-16:30 Afternoon classes and CCA (extracurricular activities). Students are enthusiastic about sports and cultural activities.
16:30-18:00 Time to go home. Many students attend cram schools or private tutoring.
18:00-19:30 Time to have dinner at home and spend time with their families. Many families eat out.
19:30-22:00 Time to do homework and study independently. Because of the fierce academic competition, students tend to study for long hours.
22:00-23:30 Relaxation time. Take a bath and do some light reading before going to sleep.
