Weekday schedule of an office worker in Saudi Arabia

5:30-6:30 After waking up, perform morning prayer (Fajr). Have a light breakfast and get ready. Many companies start business early in the morning.
6:30-7:30 Commute. Use personal car or company shuttle bus. Morning traffic jams are heavy in big cities such as Riyadh.
7:30-12:30 Morning work. Mainly meetings and customer service. Tendency to get important work done in the morning.
12:30-14:30 Lunch break (longer break). Includes time for Friday prayer (Jum'ah). Pray at home or at the company mosque, then have lunch with family.
14:30-18:00 Afternoon work. Mostly work in the office to avoid the heat. This is the time when there are many conference calls with clients.
18:00-19:30 Return home. Many people leave work in time for the evening prayer (Maghrib).
19:30-21:00 Dinner with family. Traditionally a large meal, mainly rice dishes and lamb. After the meal, they enjoy Arabic coffee.
21:00-23:00 Relaxation time. People go to the shopping mall or visit friends' houses. Television and social media are also popular.
23:00-5:30 Bedtime. Many people go to bed relatively early to avoid the heat. It is common to sleep with the air conditioner on.

5:30-6:30 After waking up, they perform morning prayer (Fajr). They change into uniforms and have a light breakfast. Boys wear white Sauds and girls wear abayas.
6:30-7:30 Commute. They go to school by school bus or are picked up by their families. Since it is a single-sex school, they attend separate schools.
7:30-12:30 Morning classes. Mainly Arabic, Islam, mathematics, science, etc. Each class is about 45 minutes long.
12:30-14:30 Long lunch break. Time for lunch and afternoon prayer (Zuhr). Many students go back home to eat.
14:30-16:30 Afternoon classes. English, social studies, PE (boys only), etc. In hot weather, PE is held in the early morning or evening.
16:30-17:30 Extracurricular activities. Some students join Islamic study groups or cultural clubs. Girls' schools have many activities such as handicrafts.
17:30-19:00 Homework and preparation after returning home. Study while having a snack with the family.
19:00-21:00 Dinner and family time. Traditionally, the whole family eats a meal together and talks about the day's events.
21:00-22:30 Free time. Watches TV, plays games, and uses social media. Boys may go out with friends.
22:30-5:30 Bedtime. Prepares for the next day and goes to bed early. Some students stay up late studying before exams.
