Weekday schedule of an office worker in Afghanistan

5:30-6:30 After waking up, pray and have breakfast. Bread, tea, and fruit are standard breakfast items.
6:30-7:30 Commute on foot, by bus, or by motorbike. In urban areas, be careful of traffic jams and checkpoints.
7:30-12:00 Morning duties. Engage in public affairs, clerical work, service industry, etc., and concentrate in the morning.
12:00-13:00 Lunch and prayer time. Eat at home or have a simple meal at work.
13:00-16:00 Afternoon duties. This is the time to handle meetings, organize documents, and deal with customers.
16:00-17:00 Leave work. Many people return home while it is still light for safety reasons.
17:00-18:30 Have dinner with family. Enjoy a leisurely meal over rice, naan, meat dishes, etc.
18:30-20:00 Spend time together at home. Enjoy conversations with family while listening to TV or radio.
20:00-21:30 Prepare for the next day after prayer. Tend to go to bed early.
