Weekday schedule of an office worker in Uganda

Time (local time) Activities
5:30-6:30 Wake up, wash your face, get ready, have a light breakfast and get ready for the day.
6:30-7:30 Commute. Travel to work using public transport or a motorbike taxi (boda boda).
8:00-12:00 Morning work hours. Time to focus on responding to emails, organizing documents, meetings, etc.
12:00-13:00 Lunch break. Time to have lunch at an outdoor food stall or in the workplace break room and socialize with colleagues.
13:00-17:00 Afternoon work hours. Their main activities are dealing with customers, going out for business calls, and writing daily reports.
17:00-18:30 Leaving work. They often get caught in traffic jams, and may take a long time to get home.
18:30-20:00 Having dinner after returning home. This is the time to spend time with the family, watch TV, and do simple housework.
20:00-22:00 Relaxing time. They relax by listening to music or talking with neighbors.
22:00-23:00 Taking a bath and preparing for the next day before going to bed. Many people go to bed early due to power issues.

6:30-7:30 Commuting time. Students walk or take the school bus to school. Some students commute from far away.
7:30-12:30 Morning classes. This is the time when students mainly study core subjects such as English, math, and science.
12:30-13:30 Lunch break. Students spend their time eating their packed lunch and playing with friends on campus.
13:30-16:00 Afternoon classes. Students study a wide range of subjects, including music, sports, and religious education.
16:00-17:30 Club activities and extra classes. This time can also be used for learning support programs and self-study.
17:30-18:30 Closing time. Students often meet up with their families or go home with friends from the neighborhood.
18:30-20:00 Dinner and break. Help with household chores and spend time with family.
20:00-21:30 Homework and preparation for the next day. Some students read or watch TV.
21:30-22:30 Get ready for bed and go to bed early. Stay regular in preparation for getting up early the next day.
