The most recommended month is "April"

April is one of the best months to visit the Falkland Islands. This is autumn in the Southern Hemisphere, and the relatively mild weather continues as a remnant of summer. There is little risk of strong winds or stormy weather, making it the perfect condition for outdoor activities and wildlife watching. April in particular coincides with the breeding season for animals, so there are more opportunities to observe the behavior of diverse ecosystems such as penguins, seabirds, and seals up close. The number of tourists is also not as high as in the peak season, so you can enjoy nature at a leisurely pace. This is also a good season for taking landscape photos on the island, and beautiful views unfold at dusk. Cruises and guided tours are also less affected by the weather during this period, so it is easy to plan your trip. For those who want to enjoy nature and have a comfortable trip, we highly recommend visiting in April.

The least recommended month is "August"

August is a time to avoid visiting the Falkland Islands. During this month, which is mid-winter in the Southern Hemisphere, temperatures drop to single digits and the cold winds become even stronger. Wildlife activity, a major attraction for tourism, also slows down, and the types and numbers of wildlife that can be observed are limited because it is outside of the breeding and migration season. In addition, outings, cruises, trekking, etc. are often canceled due to bad weather, fog, wind and rain, which can greatly disrupt travel plans. In addition, due to the characteristics of cold regions, facilities and tours are limited in operation, and the options for accommodation and restaurants are narrowed, making it difficult to have a comfortable stay. The infrastructure on the island is also winter-compatible, and in some cases, transportation is limited. For travelers who aim to do outdoor activities or who want to experience as much as possible in a limited time, August is not a recommended month.
