Weekday schedule of a Mongolian office worker

Time (local time) Activities
6:30-7:30 Wake up and get ready while taking precautions against the cold. Have breakfast of hot porridge or milk tea.
7:30-8:30 Commute by car or bus. Leave early in winter to avoid delays due to snowfall and ice.
8:30-12:30 Morning work. Mainly paperwork, meetings, and client correspondence.
12:30-13:30 Lunch break. Eat traditional meat dishes and soup to prepare for the afternoon.
13:30-17:30 Afternoon work. This is the time period when business is processed, meetings continue, and outings are handled.
17:30-18:30 Leave work. Go shopping, pick up the kids, and then head home.
18:30-20:00 Dinner. Eat bōz (meat buns) and tsoivan (fried noodles) with the family.
20:00-22:00 Relax with the family, watch TV, read, etc.
22:00-23:30 Go to bed after taking a bath and getting ready for bed. Adjust the heating to get a good night's sleep.

13:30-15:00 Afternoon classes or club activities. This includes music and PE classes.
15:00-16:30 Return home. This time is often spent playing, eating snacks, or helping out around the house.
16:30-18:00 Homework and revision time. Some students have private tutors or attend cram schools.
18:00-19:30 Have dinner with family. Hot soup and meat dishes are common.
19:30-21:00 Time to relax by watching TV, reading, playing games, etc.
21:00-22:30 Time to get ready for bed and then go to sleep. Many families go to bed early in the winter.
