Weekday schedule of an Indonesian office worker

5:00-6:00 Wake up early in the morning. Muslims perform Fajr (early morning prayer). Have a light breakfast.
6:00-7:30 Commuting time. Traffic is heavy in big cities such as Jakarta, and it takes a long time to get to the office.
8:00-12:00 Morning work hours. Important meetings and work are concentrated during the relatively cool hours.
12:00-13:30 Lunch break. Perform zuhur (midday prayer) at the mosque and have lunch at a nearby warung (restaurant).
13:30-17:00 Afternoon work. Work in the office to avoid the heat. Many companies set the end of work time at 16:00-17:00.
17:00-18:30 Time to go home. In Jakarta, there is a rush hour, so it can take a long time to get home.
18:30-19:30 Time to perform Maghrib (prayer after sunset) and have dinner with the family. Many families eat out.
19:30-21:30 Time to relax. Time to watch TV and chat with the family.
21:30-22:30 Time to perform Isha (evening prayer) and prepare for bed. It is common to go to bed early and get up early.
